Letter to Patients
Hello,
Dr. Anjula Agrawal is pleased to introduce a new specialized practice, A2 Hormone Center, affiliated with A Squared Primary Care, focused on the care of perimenopausal and menopausal women in the Washington, D.C. area.
Many women experience significant and often undertreated symptoms during age 40-60, including fatigue, weight changes, sleep disturbance, mood changes, and cognitive concerns such as memory changes, difficulty concentrating, and “brain fog.”
Recently, the FDA removed the longstanding blanket black box cardiac and cancer warnings from menopausal hormone therapy labeling. With this updated labeling, our goal is to provide education, comprehensive evaluation, and individualized treatment to improve overall health and quality of life.
Our program includes:
1. Targeted laboratory and saliva-based testing when appropriate.
2. Prescription or compounded hormone therapy.
3. Care delivered by a board-certified physician with a personalized approach.
All compounded medications are sourced from PCAB-accredited, 503A compounding pharmacies, ensuring high standards for quality and safety.
It is important to distinguish physician-led care from many direct-to-consumer hormone programs. At A2 Hormone Center, your care is overseen by a board-certified physician in internal medicine with a Menopause Society Certification. Patients will have in-person and virtual visit options, emphasizing individualized medical decision-making rather than protocol-driven evaluation and treatment.
In addition, GLP-1–based therapies may be incorporated when appropriate as part of a broader strategy to address metabolic changes associated with menopause.
